A Visit to KL Bird Park

Shahar and I always trying to find a way to spend time together with our family. Sometimes we are so caught with our daily live activities that we barely have a very quality time to connect with one another especially our kids. Spending quality time with our kids is extremely important for their development and happiness.

Anyway, we did brought our kids to the KL Bird Park the other day. Our kids loved to visit this kind of place. It is good to bring the children to see new things, to give them more exposure. It helps them grow. Kids are most excited with this trip.

Welcome to KL Bird Park!

I must admit that this is my first time visiting KL Bird Park and I didn’t know what to expect. But everything must be just about a bird.

Visiting for the very first time. ^_^

The KL Bird Park just mere minutes from KL City Center and 5 minutes from KL Sentral Station. Located in the serene and scenic Lake Gardens, close to the Orchid Garden and the Tun Abdul Razak Memorial. If you can reach Jalan Parlimen there's good signage all the way to the bird park. The Butterfly Park is nearby too.

The opening hour of the park is from 9 a.m to 6 p.m daily. Admission fee is RM20 for adults (with Mykad), RM10 for 3-12 years old and Free Admission for children below 3 years old. For foreigners, the entrance fee is RM45 (adults) and RM35 (children).

The KL Bird Park is one of the largest covered bird park in the world, sprawling 8 acres of verdant valley terrain. For the bird lovers, you can have a field day watching more than 3000 birds from 200 species perching and winging about freely-in a totally natural and beautifully landscaped environment.

World's Largest Free-Flight Walk-in Aviary.

It's free-flight walk-in aviary, comprising of Zone 1 and Zone 2 of the park. you will find various bird species flying freely and living together in harmony and balance, creating a unique ecosystem of its own in this semi-natural environment.

Please do use the suggested route to ensure nothing is missed.

We have the chance to get really closer to the birds, especially parrots, cockatoos, hornbills, flamingos, egrets, pigeons, storks, black swans, ostrich, emu, cassowaries, owls, eagles, and more.

Let's strolled the park. Are you ready, guys?

We were greeted by LOVE BIRD in Love Aviary upon entering KL Bird Park.

Highly recommended, bring your own water and snacks as bottled mineral water or canned drinks available priced at RM4, expensive tho.

It's a HOT DAY! I'm super thirsty.

So the best time to visit this park is probably in the morning. It can be pretty sweating if you make a trip by noon as you're at the hottest point of the day.

Melayan karenah anak-anak yang bermacam ragam.

Still steady berjalan walaupun cuaca agak panas terik.

We spent about 2 hours at the park and managed to watch the bird show at the Amphitheater. This half an hour (estimated) bird show performed by lovely birds at 12.30 p.m and 3.30 p.m daily

There's a playground too next to Amphitheater for children.
